Twisters actor Glen Powell confirmed for spooky role in Family Guy special episode

Glen Powell has signed up for an exciting role. He’s ready to spook everyone with a guest appearance on the upcoming Halloween special episode of Family Guy. He will voice the role of pumpkin carver Patrick McCloskey. It was revealed by the producers of Family Guy.

Family Guy producers made the announcement at the animated show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel.

The Family Guy holiday special to star Glen Powell

The official synopsis of the first of two Hulu Exclusive holiday specials read: “Peter and his friends aim to unseat the reigning champion (Powell) in Quahog’s annual Pumpkin Contest by any means necessary.”

The holiday specials will premiere on October 14. The episode will also feature the voice of Derek Jacobi as Stewie’s beloved teddy bear Rupert.

At the Comic Con, Family Guy fans also got a glimpse of the show’s upcoming 23rd season. The show will roast Top Gun: Maverick, the Supreme Court Justices and George Santos, and will feature a live-action appearance from Pete Davidson.

Family Guy completes 25 years today

Notably, the show completes 25 years of being on air this year. It premiered on Fox in 1999. When discussing the future of the show, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane said that he doesn’t “see a good reason” to stop making the show. He said, “People still love it. It makes people happy and it funds some good causes. It’s a lot of extraneous cash that you can donate to Rainforest Trust and you can still go out to dinner that night.”

Meanwhile, Glen Powell was most recently seen in Twisters which is a high-octane Lee Isaac Chung-helmed sequel alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones and Anthony Ramos.
