Margot Robbie is pregnant! Barbie star expecting first child with husband Tom Ackerley

Barbie star Margot Robbie is pregnant. According to several media reports, the actress is expecting her first child with husband Tom Ackerley.Robbie, who has been on a break since the release of Barbie in 2023, was recently seen flaunting her baby bump during her Italian vacation.

Robbie and Ackerley first met in 2013 on the set of the World War II drama Suite Française, where he was an assistant director and she was part of the cast.

They then got married in December 2016 during a private ceremony in Australia's Byron Bay. The two never announced their engagement before their wedding.

Speaking to People magazine previously about her relationship, Margot said, “‘I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit.” She added, “And then this crept up on me. We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him. And then it happened, and I was like, of course we’re together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.”

The couple were friends and colleagues first and were part of the four-person team in the production company Lucky Chap. The team also included Robbie's childhood friends Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara.

The company has produced several films and television series, including I, Tonya and Birds of Prey — all of which starred Robbie.

Robbie produced and starred in 2023's biggest blockbuster Barbie which also co-starred Ryan Gosling and Simu Liu among others. Greta Gerwig directed the film.
