Kate Winslet to star in Hulu series The Spot

Kate Winslet will soon be seen in a new Hulu series called The Spot. The show will be a straight-to-series order at the streamer.

The official synopsis of the show states that The Spot is about a “successful surgeon (Winslet) and her schoolteacher husband who begin to suspect that she may be responsible for a child’s hit-and-run death. Their quest for truth spirals into a web of mounting suspicion and dark secrets, testing their resolve and their relationship as they confront the possibility of hidden guilt and betrayal.”

Ed Solomon is attached to the project as a writer, executive producer, and showrunner. Kate Winslet will executive produce in addition to starring under her Juggle Productions banner. A24 is the lead studio in co-production with 20th Television.

Kate Winslet's tryst with OTT has been hugely successful

Multiple Oscar nominee and award winner, Kate Winslet has become a huge part of successful TV stints. In the past few years, she has given us more TV shows than films. Her most recent TV outing was in HBO Limited Series The Regime.

Previously, she starred in HBO limited series Mare of Easttown for which she won the Emmy Award for Best Actress in a Limited Series. She won in the same category in 2011 for the HBO series Mildred Pierce. She will return to HBO for the limited series Trust, which is currently in the works.

Kate Winslet is also known for her seven Oscar nominations. She won the Oscar for Best Actress for her work in the film The Reader in 2009.
