The film will now release on December 11, 2026.

Jumanji 3 has roped in Johnson, Kasdan, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia and Matt Tolmach as producers. The film will screen in IMAX and premium large format.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle hit theaters in December 2017 and surpassed $950 million at the global box office. A sequel followed in 2019 and topped $801 million globally.

As for why it’s taken this long for Jumanji 3 to take shape, Karen Gillan said, “I’m sure it’s tricky to wrangle everyone’s schedules, but I haven’t heard anything about it other than the fact that we will be doing it at some point. So we’re all so enthusiastic about it. We all love working on those films, and it’s just a matter of when.”
