Inside Out 2 is unstoppable! The sequel to the 2015 drama continues to shatter box office records. Released on June 14, the movie has not only become the highest-grossing movie of the year, but itis also the top-grossing Pixar title of all time.
The movie, revolving around human emotions, has happily surpassed Incredibles 2 ($1.242 billion) in all-time box office collection. With this milestone, Inside Out 2 is now the fifth highest-grossing animated film.

On Wednesday, the animated drama grossed $1.25 billion globally, crossing Incredibles 2's $1.24 billion box office record. Inside Out 2 has earned $543.5 million in the domestic market and $708 million internationally.
Inside Out 2 is now behind The Lion King ($1.6 billion), The Super Mario Bros. Movie ($1.36 billion), Frozen II ($1.45 billion),andFrozen ($1.29 billion). The movie's predecessor, 2015’s Inside Out,earned $859 million worldwide.
With back-to-back achievements, Inside Out 2 continues to shatter box office records.It is now the highest-grossing movie of the the year and the first film to earn $ 1 billion after Greta Gerwig's Barbie which earned $1.4 billion globally in 2023.

Inside Out 2 is a coming-of-age story and follows the life of Riley (13), a teenager now dealing with new challenges as she enters high school. With new challenges, Riley is grappling with new emotions including anxiety and envy.
Directed by Kelsey Mann, the movie revolves around the five emotions from the first film Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust, with the addition of Anxiety, Envy, Embarrassment, Ennui and Nostalgia.
