It's here. After days of teasing fans with stills and posters, Paramount Pictures has finally released the trailer of the highly anticipated film Gladiator IIstarring Paul Mescal as the grown-up Lucius.
The sequel to the Russell Crowe starrer Gladiatoris all set to hit theatres in November.

About Gladiator 2
The trailer of Gladiator IIshows Paul Mescal as the grown-up Lucius, the son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen) and the nephew of Commodus, the original film’s antagonist played by Joaquin Phoenix.
He was portrayed as a child by Spencer Treat Clark in the original Gladiatormovie.
The sequel picks up years later, with Lucius now living in the northern African region of Numidiawhere he was sent by his mother as a child, as it was just outside the reach of the Roman Empire. Events bring Lucius back to Rome as a gladiator, where he makes new enemies and reunites with his mother.

Joining Mescal and Pascal in the film's stellar ensemble cast are Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Lior Raz, Derek Jacobi, Nielsen, and Denzel Washington. With such an impressive lineup, Gladiator II promises to be an epic continuation of the beloved historical saga.
The first film came out 24 years ago and remains iconic to date. It featured Russell Crowe in the titular role. The film had fetched 11 nominations at the Oscars 2001.
