Jennifer Lawrence, one of the celebrities, who keeps her private life away from the media and public glare, has made her much-awaited debut on Instagram.
After years of staying away from social media, Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence has finally given in to the trend and made her official Instagram debut. The Oscar-winning actress, 36, joined the platform on September 9 as @jlaw.
With her debut on the social media platform, she revealed that the username 'Jennifer Lawrence' was already taken, cheekily addressing it in her bio by writing "jenniferlawrence was taken".
Within a few hours of joining, Lawrence gained over 577K followers, which is still growing, with big names like Kylie Jenner among those following her. However, she is following only 45 people, which are Stephen Colbert, Martin Scorsese, Kendall Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio and others.
Keke Palmer, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Amy Schumer, Grace Gummer, Amy Poehler, Alex Consani, Ziwe, Ms Rachel, and Cleo Wade were among the friends she followed.
Lawrence IG debut is still a surprise, but she will seemingly use the platform to promote her work, including her films and the brands that she has been an ambassador for. And it's rare that she will use it to share about her personal life.

The actress has spoken about social media before, revealing that she would never join Twitter, now known as X. In an interview with BBC Radio 1, the actress said, "I will never get Twitter. I’m not very good with the phone or technology. I cannot really keep up with emails, so the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me."
If we talk about her personal life, she's reportedly now a mommy of two children, whom she shares with her husband, Cooke Maroney. Details about her babies are not known yet.
