
Vicky Kaushal will next be seen in the role of a Mahabharata character, Ashwatthama. For those who have read the Hindu mythology, will know about the famous character who fought the great war with the Kauravas against the Pandavas in Mahabharat’s Kurukshetra war. He was the son of Guru Dronacharya and Kripi.
Vicky was last seen in ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ that was easily the biggest film of this year. The actor played the role of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill thatwas directed by debutant Aditya Dhar under the production of Ronnie Screwvala. The film was based on September 18, 2016, attacks on the army headquarters in Uri, Kashmir that is near the LoC. India retaliated to this with surgical strikes on September 29. About the epic film planned, a source close to this said, “After Uri, the makers wanted to return with something big and interesting. Aditya has been working on this script since a long time, even before Uri released, and when he sounded out Ronnie and Vicky, they immediately jumped on board. The film will be mounted on a big scale and will be shot later this year.”
As for details on the film, the yet-to-titled movie will be an action-based superhero film based on modern times. Reportedly, Aditya will leave for the United States to start work on the film which will be shot in India. The film will be high on VFX that will be done by the big international studios.
Vicky has a spate of films in the pipeline including a yet-ti-be-titled horror film, Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’ and Shoojit Sircar’s Udham Singh biopic.
