Harry Potter star Tom Felton joins the cast of Hansal Mehta's web series Gandhi

Harry Potter star Tom Felton has joined Indian filmmaker Hansal Mehta's web series Gandhi. The series has actor Pratik Gandhi playing the titular role. On Thursday, Mehta took to X to announce the new cast members joining the series, including Tom Felton. Potter fans would recall, Felton played Draco Malfoy in the film franchise.
In the web series Gandhi, Tom plays the role of Josiah Oldfield, Gandhi’s friend in London during his student days, reportsDeadline.
Felton spoke about his association with the project and told the publication, “I’m excited to be part of the journey of telling the story of Gandhi’s early years in London. It’s an important aspect of history that hasn’t been told on screen before, and to be working with Hansal and Pratik is an honour and pleasure.”
Apart from Tom Felton, Libby Mai, Molly Wright, Ralph Adeniyi, James Murray, Lindon Alexander, Jonno Davies, Simon Lennon will be seen in the show.
The show hasPratik Gandhicollaborating with Hansal Mehta once again after their popular web series Scam 1992 which made the actor an overnight star. The new series also stars Pratik Gandhi's wife, actress Bhamini Oza as Kasturba Gandhi. Applause Entertainment is producing the series.
The show is based on Ramachandra Guha’s books Gandhi Before Indiaand Gandhi – The Years that Changed the World.
