
More power to the women folk as London Film Festival unveiled its competition lineup that boasts of films with 50 per cent female directors or co-directors.
London Film Festival will run in its 62nd edition this year with Oscar-nominated ‘Room’ director Lenny Abrahamson as the jury president.

Most of these films will have their premiere at other international festivals, the latest film from Ben Wheatley titled ‘Happy New Year, Colin Burstead’, will get its world premiere in London.

For those who are interested to watch the festival, the London Film Festival will open on October 10 with Steve McQueen's crime thriller ‘Widows’ and close with the world premiere of the Steve Coogan-starring ‘Stan & Ollie’.
Peter Jackson's WWI documentary will also be having its first-ever public screening at the festival itself.
