As the release date of ‘Game of Thrones’ season 8 comes nearer, makers of the hit HBO series have tightened the security over story details. Amid all the excitement of the date coming closer, Entertainment Weekly has revealed some interesting inside details of the series finale, including a possible Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen’s coming together to fight in Winterfell.
The magazine released what looks like the first look of season 8 as the series couple pose together.
Among other details revealed, the first episode will have Emilia Clarke’s character enter Winterfell and fight against the Army of the Dead. This reunion will also have a parallel story of how Sansa Stark is not pleased with her brother Jon Snow kneeling before the foreign queen, Daenerys.
In a statement to the publication, executive producer Bryan Cogman confirmed the same. He said, “It’s about all of these disparate characters coming together to face a common enemy, dealing with their own past, and defining the person they want to be in the face of certain death.”
He added that the final season would be "incredibly emotional, haunting, bittersweet" which would also honour George RR Martin initial motive, of "flipping this kind of story on its head.”
