Did Tarak Mehta actor Gurucharan Singh plan his own disappearance? New report claims so

It's been more than a week since Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh aka Roshan Singh Sodhi went missing. While there are no updates on Gurucharan's whereabouts, recent reports are claiming that the Indian actor likely planned his own disappearance.

As per Indian news channel New18, a police source has said that the actor left his phone in Delhi's Palam area and ''moved out of'' the city.

Sharing more updates regarding Gurucharan's disappearance, the police source said that the actor had left his phone, due to which it's difficult to trace him.

“He left his phone in the Palam area. We are trying to find but it only makes it more difficult for us to trace Gurucharan Singh, because this means that the phone is not with the actor," Delhi police sources said, as per News18.

"In the CCTV footage we recovered...he was seen moving from one e-rickshaw to another. Looks like he had planned everything and has moved out of Delhi.”

Gurucharan Singh went missing on April 22 when he left his Delhi home to catch a flight to Mumbai. However, he didn't board a flight. After failing to reach him, his family lodged a missing complaint with police.

Recently, it was reported that the 50-year-old actor was going through a financial crisis.

Reports have also suggested that he issoon getting married.

After his disappearance, many of his co-workers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have shared their concern for him.

Reacting to his mysterious disappearance, the producer of the show, Asit Modi went on to claim that all dues were cleared when he left the show in 2020.

Modi said, "It was nothing like that. That was Covid time, and it was stressful for all of us. The shootings had stopped. Even we didn't know if the show would continue or not. The world was changing around us. Now it's back to normal routine. That was a difficult moment for all of us."

Modi went on to reveal that he met the actor last 6-7 months ago.
