However, as fans speculated, Kurama's story didn't end there. In a twist, Kurama returned, not within Naruto, but within his daughter, Himawari Uzumaki.
In chapter 9 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Himawari's encounter with Jura and Hidari revealed that she was the new host for Kurama. Inside Himawari's consciousness, Kurama appeared in a miniature form, reminiscent of his previous self but considerably smaller.
This made fans ponder how the nine-tailed beast survived, considering the magnitude of his sacrifice. Unlike other Tailed Beasts, Kurama's chakra was entirely depleted, seemingly erasing him from existence. So, how did he manage to return?
"Now that sarada has ms and Himawari has the kyuubi, we are 100% getting the return of the Susanoo/kurama fusion, I like how the theme is the previous generation passing down everything to the new generation," A fan wrote on X.
The key to Kurama's survival lies in Himawari. While Tailed Beasts typically respawn after death, Kurama's unique circumstance presented a challenge. His chakra, used as raw material for Baryon Mode, was completely consumed, leaving no trace.
However, it's speculated that Kurama may have passed down a fragment of his chakra to Himawari, either intentionally or inadvertently. This transfer of chakra could have facilitated Kurama's rebirth within her.
