The Buckingham Murders is set for its OTT release. The Kareena Kapoor starrer opened to a good response in theatres and is now set to expand its reach.

Where and when to watch the film

The Buckingham Murders will release on Netflix. It will start streaming on the platform from November 8. 

Sharing the update, Netflix India took to Instagram and wrote, “Here's a tip-off: The Buckingham Murders is coming to Netflix on 8 November.”

The Buckingham Murders was released in theatres on September 13.

Pegged as a mystery drama, the film revolves around Sergeant Jasmeet 'Jass' Bhamra (Kareena) dealing with the loss of her young son Ekam (Mairaaj Kakkar). She is assigned a case of a missing boy, Ishpreet, roughly as old as Ekam. 

In addition to Kareena Kapoor, the film also features Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen. It's directed by Hansal Mehta.

The film also marks Kareena Kapoor Khan's debut as a producer. She has produced the movie along with Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa Kapoor. The film has cinematography by Emma Dalesman with Amitesh Mukherjee on editing. 

In an interview, Kareena Kapoor said that her role in the film was inspired by Kate Winslet's character in the miniseries Mare of Easttown. After the film released, critics applauded her work and her dedication to her craft. While the cop role was heavily inspired by Kate Winslet's stellar work in Mare of Easttown, Kareena also lent herself to the role. 

The film's soundtrack is composed by Bally Sagoo, Payal Dev and Karan Kulkarni. The lyrics are written by Shellee, Niren Bhatt, Kunaal Vermaa and Devshi Khanduri.
