Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 confirmed, Kartik Aaryan to return to comedy genre

If you enjoy watching Kartik Aaryan in comedy films, then we have good news for you as the Chandu Champion actor has signed up for a sequel to Pati Patni Aur Woh. The 2019 film was a huge blockbuster hit and cemented his standing as a funny guy in Hindi cinema who could make people laugh.

The title so far for the film is Pati Patni Aur Woh 2. We aren’t aware if there will be any further changes in the movie title.

A source close to the project reports that the script for the sequel has already been locked and is in place. Kartik is said to be excited to return to his small town guy role. The source said, “Kartik loved the script of PPAW 2 and, as soon as he gave his nod, the makers decided to get this one rolling soon. Knowing the actor’s tight schedule and several films lined up, the makers have secured his dates as soon as possible. Once Kartik wraps up shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, PPAW 2 will go on floors.”

Pati Patni Aur Woh came out right before the pandemic hit and was loved for its simplicity. Even though the audiences have seen a similar storyline and the concept of infidelity among people who live a monotonous life is not new, the film came as a fresh breath of air with new pairings.

Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 is backed by Bhushan Kumar and Juno Chopra. It will be helmed by Mudassar Aziz.

Kartik has previously worked in several comedy films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama (1 &2), Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Luka Chuppi. Kartik is currently busy shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
