‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, 'Halloween' rule international box office

The Freddie Mercury biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ is ruling the international box office with $72.5 million. Rami Malek starring as popular band ‘Queen’ iconic frontman in the rock movie is currently dominating the domestic market in the USA. The film opened to $50 million in the USA for a global start of $122.5 million.

Its worldwide tally currently sits at a strong $141.7 million.

Interestingly, the film hit the right note with the audience even after it got a lukewarm response from the audience.

Meanwhile, ‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ fared better overseas, where Disney’s family film debuted with $38.5 million from 45 international markets. Keira Knightley and Mackenzie Foy star in the movie.

Also, Universal and Blumhouse’s ‘Halloween’ did well to generate $18.3 million in 66 international markets, taking its overseas total to $79.2 million. The film starring Jamie Lee Curtis opened in North America with $11 million, to take the massive worldwide tally of $229 million.
