Atul Parchure, popular Marathi and Hindi film actor, dies after a long battle with cancer

Popular Marathi actor Atul Parchure, who also acted in several Bollywood blockbusters, died on Monday at the age of 57. The actor was reportedly battling cancer for the past few years. Atul had acted in several Hindi and Marathi films, TV shows, and OTT series.

According to multiple reports, Atul had been battling liver cancer for a while. The actor is survived by his mother, wife and daughter.

Atul Parchure had been away from the showbiz for a while due to his treatment. However, he made his comeback on television with his appearance in a Marathi film, Alibaba Aani Chalishitale Chor earlier this year in March. His comeback was well-received by the audience as well as the critics.

Parchure received warm applause for his resilience at the Zee Natya Gaurav Puraskar.

Tributes for the late actor poured on X soon after the news of his demise came on Monday evening.

The late actor had worked in some popular films such as Narbachi Wadi (Marathi), Khatta Meetha (Hindi), Style (Hindi), Navra Maza Navsacha (Marathi), All The Best (Hindi), Billu (Hindi) among others.

Some of his notable works on television are Majha Hoshil Na (Marathi), The Kapil Sharma Show, Comedy Nights With Kapil and Badi Door Se Aaye Hai. Apart from films and shows, Atul Parchure has also worked in several Marathi and Hindi plays.
