Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's son Pax is recovering well. The 20-year-old suffered major injuries earlier this month after he crashed his e-bike in Los Angeles. However, now a source has given a health update, revealing that he is ''doing okay'' a month after the incident.

"It’s been a few weeks since the accident, but he’s still recovering and receiving treatments," the source adds.

The incident took place on July 29th when Pax was riding his e-bike near his home in Los Angeles in a heavy-traffic area on Los Feliz Boulevard when he crashed his bike into a car. As per the reports, Pax suffered head injuries as he was not wearing a helmet while riding thee-bike.

After the incident, he was admitted to ICU andwas released a week after hisadmission.

Post his release from the ICU, a source told PEOPLE that Pax "suffered complex trauma and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy."

"He's uncomfortable and will need further treatments. Still, he was very lucky," that source said at the time. "It could have been much worse since he didn't wear a helmet."

No official statement has been released on Pax's incident yet.

Pax's estranged father Brad had not visited him in the hospital. But, he's "getting updates" about his son's recovery. A source said, "He hasn't had any contact with Pax in years, but he still very much cares."

Jolie adopted Pax from a Vietnamese orphanage near Ho Chi Minh City in 2012. He was later adopted by Pitt.

Jolie is currently attending the 81st edition of the Venice Film Festival, where hermovie Mariapremiered. Recently, Maleficent actress talked about his son Pax and Maddox's contribution to her movie.

"They’ve done that quite a few times, and I think that’s good for them," Jolie said while talking about her son's involvement. "Pax tends to do stills and he gets brought in, and [director Pablo Larraín] was wonderful and recognized that he was good at it."
