After Irrfan Khan's death, this scene from 'Life Of Pi' is going viral on the internet
Based on the novel written by Yann Martel, the film is directed by Ang Lee. Irrfan played the adult phase of the protagonist - Piscine Molitor "Pi" Patel. The film was nominated at the Academy Awards.
They say art imitates life and today as actor Irrfan Khan passed away in Mumbai after a prolonged battle with cancer, some of his films and scenes are appearing to be hauntingly real.
Irrfan had featured in Ange Lee's 'Life Of Pi' and one of the scenes from the film is now being shared widely on social media. It had Irrfan talking about the act of saying 'goodbye'.
" I suppose in the end, the whole of life becomes an act of letting go, but what always hurts the most is not taking a moment to say goodbye," the actor says in this hauntingly heartbreaking scene.
Heartbroken fans shared the stills of that scene on social media on Wednesday as the news of his death broke. Watch the scene here.
Directed by Ang Lee and also starring Tabu, Adil Hussain and Suraj Sharma as the younger Pi, the film was just one of the many Hollywood films that the actor starred in. It received four Oscars, and grossed over $600 million worldwide.
While speaking about the film, in an interview, the actor had said, "In an interview, Irrfan had spoken warmly about working with Lee. “I’m really fortunate that I got to work with Ang Lee. He is a wonderful filmmaker. It is fascinating as an actor to find a director who effectively has a whole world inside of him. Ang has a strong vision and he wants to bring that world and that vision to the audience. There are very few directors who put themselves in the line of fire as he does.”
