Adele gives shoutout to son, partner during emotional last Las Vegas residency

Adele is wrapping up her Las Vegas residency. This will be the last time she performs on stage as she plans to take a break and pursue other things in life. It doesn’t mean she won’t return but Adele wants to enjoy her time off and not think about making music or performing.

Adele will bid adieu to her two-year Las Vegas residency. Speaking to her fans at the Colosseum Theatre at Caesars Palace, she said, “I will miss you terrible” and “I don’t know when I’m next going to perform again.”

She added, “I’m not doing anything else. I’m actually shitting myself about what I am going to do. I don’t have any f****g plans.”

Adele performed during her residency from November 2022 to November 2024 with two performances every week. These were called “Weekends With Adele”.

Dispelling any rumours that she wants to take a permanent break from music, Adele added, “Of course, I’ll be back, the only thing I’m good at is singing. I just don’t know when I want to next come onstage.”

Adele then went on to thank her son from her previous marriage and her current partner, sports agent Rich Paul.

Adele said, “To my son, I chose to do a residency mainly because I fucking hate touring. But I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal. And I did do that. But I also — I wouldn’t change it for the world, but I get to be with him on the weekends now because obviously he can’t always come. So I love you to bits. Thank you for being patient with me.”

For Paul, Adele added, “Thank you for always bigging me up and making me feel like I could do whatever I wanted to do. There’s been times when I’m too tired or I’m too emotionally drained … so I appreciate that.”

Adele also addressed meeting Celine Dion during one of the shows that the latter attended and the two ended up crying over how special it was for them. “I cried for a whole week. A whole week,” she said (both singers cried while it was happening, too). “It was just such a full-circle moment for me. Because that’s the only reason I ever wanted to be in here.”
