'She warned me not to do any such thing after this premiere,' said the actor.

One of the most celebrated couples of Bollywood, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have been married for the last 10 years. The celebrated couple first stated dating while working on JP Dutta's 'Umrao Jaan' and eventually got married in April 2007 in Mumbai.

Not many know that Abhishek had popped the question to Aishwarya in Toronto where the two had come for the premiere of Mani Ratnam's 'Guru' which had them playing the lead.

Bachchan is currently at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) where his latest film 'Manmarziyaan' premiered to a packed theatre.

As the actor took the centre stage along with his co-stars Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu and director Anurag Kashyap, he reminisced his special connection with the festival. "Toronto has always been very special for me. The last time I premiered my film here, I proposed to my wife. She warned me not to do any such thing after this premiere. So before I make any more mistake, Vicky it is all you..." said the actor.

Introducing Abhishek to the audience, Anurag Kashyap said: "He took a break from films for two years. I count myself lucky that he chose our script, saying that I want to come back and make a movie with this script."

For his part, Vicky Kaushal had the audience in splits when he introduced himself as "husband material".

Turning to the audience, he said since nobody has seen film in India "you are the first audience to see this film".

As the audience cheered Taapsee, she said: "All the while I thought that girls would love me after the film I have done. It is my first visit to Toronto and my first-ever film festival... It is special. Let us hope we get an opportunity to pop the champagne after the end of this one."

'Manmarziyaan' releases in India on 14th September.
