Ravindra Jadeja, on Tuesday (July 16),paid a heartfelt tribute to his late mother on Instagram.Jadeja shared a sketch of a picturewith himstanding alongside his motherwith the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy in hand. The veteran all-rounder was part of Rohit Sharma-led India's victorious run in the 2024 T20 WC, held in West Indies and the USA.

Talking about Jadeja, the 35-year-old retired from T20Is following the Men in Blue's triumph in the T20 WC, where they beat South Africa by 7 runs in the final in Barbados on June 29. The all-rounder ended with515 runs, at an average of 21.45, and claimed 54 wickets at an economy rate of 7.13 in T20Is.
Announcing his retirement, Jadeja wrote on Instagram, "With a heart full of gratitude, I bid farewell to T20 internationals. Like a steadfast horse galloping with pride, I’ve always given my best for my country and will continue to do so in other formats. Winning the T20 World Cup was a dream come true, a pinnacle of my T20 International career. Thank you for the memories, the cheers, and the unwavering support."
He remains an integral part of India's Test and ODI teams. Meanwhile, India is gearing up for their upcoming white-ball tour of Sri Lanka, starting July 27, which will also kickoff new head coach Gautam Gambhir's era in Indian cricket.
