And that is that! MI secure their first win of the 2024 campaign and Hardik Pandya and his men have a liftoff. DC fail to chase the 235-run target and fall short by 29 runs.

14 overs completed and DC are still in the hunt to chase down the record target set by MI. Interesting that Rishabh Pant did not promote himself up the order and instead sent Tristan Stubbs to cut the deficit. DC require 97 runs in six overs. 
 

DC: 138/2, 14 overs

Yorker length ball delivered at the base of the legstump. Shaw moves away from the line of the ball and attempts to dig it out but is not successful. The ball snakes past the bat and uproots the legstump.

At the halfway stage, DC are 94/1 and require 141 runs to achieve the impossible. Shaw and Porel have stitched a little partnership after Warner's departure but would it be enough, only time will tell.

12 runs coming off the sixth over but the powerplay has belonged to Mumbai Indians. DC would need Shaw and Porel to go big if they are to get anywhere near the target.

Prithvi Shaw blasted a six on the second delivery but Gerald Coetzee made an impressive comeback to concede only one run on the next four deliveries.
