Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Rovman Powell had a cheeky response for the broadcaster after winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) match for his team against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 13. Powell and Shimron Hetmyer added 21 runs in just seven balls to take their team home in a tense chase. Powell scored 11 off just 5 including two boundaries in the penultimate over as RR chased down the 148-run target with one ball and three wickets left.

Speaking after the match on his partnership with Hetmyer, who scored unbeaten 27 off 10 balls, Powell said: "The good thing is we know each other, we are calm. All we needed to do was hit proper cricketing shots, and play along the ground. We are West Indians, we hit boundaries. In the previous games, the lower and middle order have not batted a lot of balls, and I told Hettie that there might be a day soon when they will have that opportunity. When I went out to bat, he just reminded me of that."

Powell also offered an updated about when RR opener Jos Buttler is going to be back and said: "I think he is maybe out for a day or two. I think he will be back, the medical team is doing a fantastic job."

As for the game, Punjab bowlers did well to make a match out of nothing but eventually lost the second consecutive thriller on the trot. They kept losing wickets at regular interval with only Jitesh Sharma (29), Livingstone (21) and Sharma (31 off 16) being able to cross the 20-run mark. All five Rajasthan bowlers managed to take wickets as PBKS posted a below-par 147/8 in 20 overs.

This was Punjab's fourth loss in five matches as they currently sit at eighth place in the 10-team points table while Royals enjoy the top spot with five wins in six games.
