Talking about the Indian womenteam's campaign in this edition, they started the tournament with a comprehensive win over arch-rivals Pakistan. The Women in Green had no chance as India won by seven wickets after dismissing their opponent for a paltry 108. From thereon, they went past UAE and Nepal with a 78 and 82-run wins, respectively.

On the other hand, Bangladesh had a poor start to their campaign with a loss to hosts Sri Lanka. Nonetheless, they came back strongly with a resounding seven-wicket win over Thailand and 114-run hammering of Malaysia to enter the semifinals.
