Bangladesh middle-order batter Litton Das believes that their recent Test series win against Pakistan is in the past now. Litton made the statement ahead of the upcoming two-Test series against India which starts September 19.
"We played good cricket against Pakistan but it is already in the past," Litton said to media as reported by cricket news website ESPNCricinfo.
"It is important for us to look forward. We will need your (media's) help. It would be helpful if you don't talk about the Pakistan series. As a player, it is already in the past for me," he added.
The batter, however, acknowledged that the win inspires players but they need to become more consistent in Test cricket
"It is inspiring that people will know you if you do well," he said. "There's nothing better than that. I don't think it is pressure. We are improving in Tests, so we have to become more consistent in the format. That's the main challenge."
As for the upcoming Test series against India, Litton mentioned that playing against SG ball (used in India Tests) is going to be a little harder as opposed to playing against a Kookaburra ball (used in Pakistan and most countries).
"The ball will be a different one in India," Litton said. "It is a little harder to play against the SG ball. The Kookaburra ball is easier to play when it gets old. It is the opposite with the SG ball. It is harder to get away against the old ball when it's the SG," he added.
India have three Test series planned from September 19 - two at home and one away. They first play Bangladesh for two-Test series from September 19 before hosting New Zealand for a three-Test series and then travel to Australia.
