Reuters quoted News Limited outlets signaling a breakthrough in talks along with Fairfax Media which said "heads of agreement" deal was close to being struck.
Cricket Australia chief James Sutherland plans to take the row to court if both parties fail to reach an agreement this week, Reuters said.
Australia is set to play two Tests against Bangladesh in August and September, before an ODI tour in India culminating with the prestigious Ashes series at home against England at the end of the year.
