Tesla may launch cars in India this summer

Electric car maker Tesla Incorporation may enter the Indian market this summer, Chief Executive Elon Musk tweeted on Tuesday.

Replying to a question on Twitter regarding whether Tesla plans to launch in India, Musk tweeted: "Hoping for summer this year."

Twitter user who goes by the handle ‏@goel_ishan posted a tweet which asked, “@elonmusk eagerly waiting for Tesla to launch in India. Any plans to do it? If so then WHEN?” Musk replied by saying, “@goel_ishan Hoping for summer this year.”

Musk did not offer any details on the plans.
