Sensex, Nifty volatile, swinging between gains and losses

The domestic stock markets were fluctuating between gains on losses in Thursday's early deals ahead of the F&O (futures & options) weekly expiry.

Among headline indices, the S&P BSE Sensex hovered around 34,000 levels and the Nifty50 slipped below the 10,100-mark. Tech Mahindra (up 2%) was the top Sensex gainer. Besides, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank gained 1 per cent each. On the other hand, Titan dipped 3 per cent.

Among Sensex gainers were Tech Mahindra, Sun Pharma, TCS, Power Grid, HDFC Bank, HCL Tech and ICICI Bank, all up in the range of 1-3 per cent. On the side, Titan Company was the top Sensex laggard, down 3 per cent followed by Kotak Mahindra Bank, ONGC, M&M, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank, State Bank of India (SBI).
