Sensex gains over 350 points, Nifty past 11,750 mark

Domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty on Wednesday opened higher in early trade onstrong global cues.

At 09:35 am, the BSE S&P Sensex was up 370 points at 39,417while the Nifty 50 climbed up 110 points to 11,802.

Asian share markets jumped today as investors hoped that the Federal Reserve could open the door to future rate cuts.

Yesterday, the benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty closed marginally higher snapping a four-day losing streak after a choppy day of trade.

The Sensex closed 85.55 points, or 0.22 per cent, higher at 39,046.34 while the Nifty closed 19.35 points, or 0.17 per cent, in the green.
