Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 8 in India for Rs 67,900.
Samsung has a lot riding on the 8, with Samsung having withdrawn its predecessor after a number of batteries of the Note 7 combusted.
Zee Business reported that the Note 8 has already received over 2.5 lakh pre-bookings in India.
Similar to the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+, the Note 8 also sports an "Infinity Display" with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.
Its 6.3-inch screen is Super AMOLED with a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels.
The Note 8 sports other features such as a 64-bit Exynos 8895 octa-core processor chipset with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The two cameras have OIS and are designed to obtain different photos from a single click data.
The handset also supports Samsung Gear VR and Google Daydream VR.
The Note 8 was launched in New York in August.
