Now, Microsoft users can create email IDs in 15 Indian languages

Now, Microsoft users will be able to use its apps and services, like Office 365, Outlook 2016, Outlook.com, Exchange Online and Exchange Online Protection (EOP), in 15 Indian languages.

Microsoft on Wednesday announced support for e-mail addresses in 15 local languages of India.

Indian users will now be able to use local language e-mail addresses for their Outlook accounts.

Microsoft's announcement came on the occasion of the International Mother Language Day.

Users will also be able to send and receive emails from local language e-mail addresses via Outlook client installed on their personal computers.

The move comes as Microsoft's bid to support Email Address Internationalisation (EAI) across its eco-system. The giant aims to make technology accessible in local languages.

Microsoft announced the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Neural Networks (DNN) to improve real-time language translation for Hindi, Bengali and Tamil languages. The announcement came last month.
