Motorola launches brand new Moto Mods in India; buy or simply rent one

Moto Z users rejoice as the Chinese smartphone maker has come up with three exciting Moto Mods in India.

Moto Mods are essentially modular backplates that can be magnetically attached to the back of Moto Z series devices.

A Moto Mod can turn a Z series handset into a boombox, a movie projector or a battery powerhouse depending on the Mod used.

Each Moto Mod is designed to offer an enhanced user experience to customers - from extra battery life, great sound to excellent video quality.

Motorola has partnered with RentoMojo to offer Moto Mods on rent to its customers for Rs 399 a week.

The rental service will be available December 23 onwards across top eight metro cities.

The three new Moto Mods -- JBL SoundBoost 2 speaker Mod (Rs 6,999), Moto TurboPower Pack battery Mod (Rs 5,999) and the GamePad Mod (Rs 6,999) -- will be available on sale at Flipkart and Motorola exclusive stores starting December 17.

Previously launched Moto Mods include Moto Insta- Share Projector, Hasselblad True Zoom and JBL SoundBoost.
