Indian stocks began at all-time highs on Thursday, boosted by strong buying across sectors and favourable global market indications. The benchmark Sensex rose over 500 points to 77,100, while the Nifty 50 gained more than half a percent to roughly 23,480.

Broader markets followed suit, with the Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small Cap 100 indices rising by more than 0.5 percent to new highs. The Bank Nifty index also increased strongly, gaining 115 points to trade above 50,000.

Sectoral indices performed well, with Nifty IT, Nifty Realty, Nifty Metals, Nifty Auto, Nifty PSU Bank, and Nifty Financial Services leading the gains. The only indices traded in the red were Nifty FMCG and Nifty Media.

HDFC Life Insurance, LTI Mindtree, Divi's Laboratories, Shriram Finance, and Wipro were among the Nifty 50 components with the most gains. Tata Consumer Products, Britannia Industries, Hindustan Unilever, Cipla, and Eicher Motors were among the biggest losers.

Positive global cues and favourable home economic indicators drove the rise. Asian and US stock markets rose in response to softer-than-expected US inflation figures and the US Federal Reserve's most recent policy decision.
