Petrol prices in Mumbai and the national capital remained unchanged on Wednesday after a series of relentless rise over the past few weeks. Diesel, however, rose to Rs 74.35 per litre, increased by Rs 0.24 per litre, in Delhi and Rs 77.93, up by Rs 0.25 per litre, in Mumbai today.
Petrol and diesel prices in the country went up again for the second straight day in a week on Tuesday. Petrol price in the national capital rose to Rs 82.26 per litre, increased by Rs 0.23, while diesel prices amounted to Rs 74.11, up by Rs 0.29 in Delhi yesterday.

In Mumbai, petrol was selling for Rs 87.73 per litre on Tuesday, while diesel was priced at Rs 77.68 per litre.
Fuel prices have been rising unabated even after the Central government last Thursday announced a relief of Rs 2.50 on petrol and diesel prices. Various state governments also provided a relief of Rs 2.50 to give a cumulative relief of Rs 5 on fuel prices to the customers.
