Andhra Pradesh tops 'ease of doing business' index; Delhi slips to 23rd spot

According to reports, Andhra Pradesh has topped all states in the 'ease of doing business' ranking by the World Bank and the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion.

As per the release, Andhra Pradesh emerges as the most business-friendly state in the country followed by neighbouring Telangana, Haryana, Jharkhand and Gujarat.

Indian states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Rajasthan find mention in the top 10 slots while national capital Delhi fares poorly on the list dropping to the 23rd slot from the previously held 19th spot.

The rankings have assessed all Indian states on the efficiency of business reforms implementation.
