Electric vehicle startup Ultraviolette has unveiled the pre-production prototype avatar of the F99 factory Racing platform, touting it to be India's first-ever superbike. The electric racing platform was first unveiled in 2023 at EICMA, Milan based on the brand philosophy of ‘Design in India, Design for the World’. The platform has been imagined, designed and engineered from scratch at the company's R&D headquarters in Bengaluru.

The Ultraviolette F99 is claimed to have a power output of more than twice that of any production motorcycle by an Indian company, making it a significant product for the country. With this, the company aims to claim two speed records over the course of the next 90 days. These records are - The highest top speed for an Indian motorcycle and The fastest quarter mile for an Indian motorcycle.

The F99 racing platform showcases Ultraviolette's intent to double down on using racing to push the envelope on technology-enabled design. "Disruptive technology like the F99 platform – that is among the fastest & most advanced electric bikes in the World – will help India reinforce its status as a top player in the automotive sector," said Niraj Rajmohan, CTO at Ultraviolette Automotive.

Ultraviolette F99 is a powerhouse of innovation and performance as well as some breakthrough features that would translate on to the brand's F77 electric motorcycle platform. The latter, which is also the brand's first electric sports bike, is now available in five cities through the the network of ‘Space Stations’. These cities include Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Pune and Bengaluru. From next month, it will also be available in other cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Visakhapatnam and Mangalore.
