NHAI awards INR 6,661 crore contract for Hyderabad-Nagpur corridor

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has given a substantial contract for the 251-kilometer stretch of the Hyderabad-Nagpur corridor under the Toll-Operate-Transfer (TOT) model, totaling INR 6,661 crore. This announcement was released in an official statement on Friday. The economic bids for this project, assigned as TOT Bundle-16, were initiated on September 18, 2024, focusing on a segment of National Highway 44 (NH-44) in Telangana. The contract has been bestowed upon the Highway Infrastructure Trust, which is accountable for the functioning and maintenance of this critical passageway.

The Hyderabad-Nagpur corridor is a significant infrastructural investment that seeks to improve the link between the two major cities, which will ultimately facilitate easier transportation and economic growth in the region.
