Kia India's upcoming SUV to be called 'Syros'

Kia India has revealed the name of its upcoming Kia 2.0 SUV — ‘Syros’. The vehicle has been designed to marry Kia's contemporary design language with mythical creativity, providing a sophisticated blend of innovation, audacious design, and state-of-the-art technology. Syros will be the latest to join the lineup after the EV9 and the Carnival, establishing a new standard for Kia’s SUVs with its evolved brand identity - Kia 2.0.

Syros combines practicality, forward-thinking design and cutting-edge technology. Kia adds that this SUV has been designed to take the customer experience to new levels of capability, featuring an industry-first connected cabin for today’s technology-savvy consumers. The ultra-spacious, modern cabin from Syros will set expectations in the segment and appeal to consumers seeking the perfect balance of style and functionality.

In April 2017, Kia inked a memorandum of understanding with the Andhra Pradesh government to set up a manufacturing plant in Anantapur District. Kia started production from this facility, with an annual capacity of 300,000 units, from August 2019. Kia has been relatively competing in the Indian market, focusing on products that resonate with Indian consumers. This vision has helped the brand expand their offerings in the Indian market with Seltos, Carnival, Sonet, Carens and EV6 and it is now adding Syros as the next one offering.

Add WION as a Preferred Source

Kia India's Anantapur plant has dispatched nearly 1.5 million vehicles to date, including over a million units for the domestic market and 250,000 for export. Kia is a leader in the connected car segment in India, with more than 400,000 connected vehicles on the roads. The company has also expanded its presence through a network of 640 touchpoints across 287 cities, ensuring accessibility and support for Kia owners nationwide.

With the Syros, Kia India looks to offer consumers a uniquely captivating SUV experience, setting the stage for further growth in India’s competitive automotive landscape.
