
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is set to launch the Alcazar facelift SUV on September 9 2024. Bookings for the facelifted SUV have been opened. Apart from a heavily revamped exterior and interior, the SUV will offer overall 70+ safety features with 40 of them being standard across all variants. These include Surround View monitor, six airbags, rain sensing wipers, Hill Descent Control, all four disc brakes, among other features. The in-house Level 2 ADAS system, called Hyundai SmartSense will offer 19 features ensuring driving safety, convenience and parking safety.
The new Alcazar will be powered by 1.5 l Turbo GDi petrol engine delivering 160 PS of max power and 253 Nm (25.8 kgm) of peak torque. It will be offered with six-speed manual and seven-speed DCT transmission options. The facelifted Alcazar will also offer a 1.5 l U2 CRDi diesel engine unit delivering 85 kW (116 PS) Max Power and 250 Nm (25.5 kgm) Max Torque with six-speed manual transmission and six-speed automatic transmission options.
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar comes equipped with multiple drive modes - Normal, Eco, and Sport and traction modes - Snow, Mud, and Sand, paddle shifters, and Idle Stop and Go (ISG) feature.
Other safety features in the Level 2 ADAS suite inside the Alcazar include Smart Cruise Control, Surround View Monitor, Blind Spot View Monitor, Forward Collison Warning and Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Warning and others. The manufacturer has equipped Alcazar with safety enhancements like the Digital Key, Hill Descent Control, front parking sensors, Rain sensing wipers, and Electro Chromic inside rear view mirror providing a comprehensive safety net.
On the inside, the facelifted Alcazar SUV gets a new dashboard layout which incorporates 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that sits beside a 10.25-inch fully-digital instrument cluster. The SUV offers a wireless and USB mobile charging pad, repositioned behind the back of the front row's armrest.
