Global Indian brand LML has been granted a patent for the design of its upcoming Star electric scooter, which was first showcased by the brand in 2022. The futuristic-looking scooter reflects the brand's significant investment in designing, highlighted by its collaboration with renowned Italian designers for the same. For the scooter, LML engaged with designers who have previously worked with global automotive giants such as Ducati, Ferrari, Yamaha, and Kawasaki.
The shape and configuration of the scooter makes it look modern and symbolic of the brand's mission to provide environmentally-friendly transportation solutions. The scooter sports a dual-tone colour theme, LED DRLs, and projector headlamps. Horizontal indicators which are placed lower and the EV has been loaded with a fully digital screen, rear shock absorbers and red highlights on seats.
With LML Star, the company plans to claim a leadership position in electric two-wheeler segment. Yogesh Bhatia, MD and CEO of LML, expressed his excitement about this achievement, stated, "As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we are eager to make a significant impact in the industry. Apart from the LML Star electric scooter, the brand has also showcased two other electric vehicles for the Indian market - Moonshot electric motorcycle and Orion electric bike. The Moonshot is an electric dirt bike with one of a kind ride which can double up as a city commute. It comes with a Hyper mode and can do zero to 70 kmph ‘faster than imagined,’ as per LML. The Orion electric ‘hyperbike’ that comes with an IP67-rated battery. LML offers an all-weather safety assurance thanks to light and agile ride-handling. It provides haptic feedback for controls and an in-built GPS for those on longer commutes.
