Aston Martin Valiant revealed with 745PS V12, manual transmission

Aston Martin has unveiled the Valiant, an ultra-exclusive, track-focused masterpiece handcrafted by their bespoke division, Q by Aston Martin. Inspired by a commission from Formula One® driver Fernando Alonso, the Valiant is a race-ready beast disguised as a road-legal sports car.

Production is strictly limited to just 38 cars globally, each boasting a monstrous 745PS twin-turbocharged 5.2-litre V12 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. This ferocious powertrain is complemented by a series of weight-saving measures, including a 3D-printed rear subframe, magnesium torque tube, and lightweight wheels, resulting in an unparalleled driving experience.

Valiant pushes the boundaries of performance with cutting-edge technology like Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve (ASV) dampers, which adjust to provide exceptional control and handling. These dampers, typically found only in top-tier motorsports vehicles, offer unmatched levels of performance and are not available aftermarket.

The Valiant's dramatic bodywork, crafted extensively from lightweight carbon fibre, is a testament to both its aggressive spirit and aerodynamic prowess. Every inch of the car, from the deep front splitter to the prominent fixed wing, serves a dual purpose of aesthetics and downforce generation.

Functional features like heavily scalloped side fenders, carbon fibre aero discs, and a rear diffuser all work in harmony to minimise drag and maximise stability. The striking quad-exit titanium exhaust system adds a touch of visual flair while celebrating the V12's exhilarating soundtrack.

The strictly two-seat cockpit prioritises both functionality and comfort. Exposed satin-finish carbon fibre highlights the lightweight construction, while strategically placed seat padding and tailored upholstery ensure driver and passenger are well-supported during spirited drives. A new, bespoke steering wheel and exposed gear linkage further emphasise the car's mechanical nature and driver connection.

Despite its track focus, safety and comfort haven't been compromised. A built-in half-cage and bespoke Recaro Podium seat with four-point race harnesses ensures driver safety during high-performance driving. Lightweight materials are used throughout the cabin, including Alcantara seat quilting and a tactile Alcantara steering wheel for optimal control.

While deliveries are expected to begin in Q4 2024, the Valiant will make its public debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed this July. Fittingly, one of the demonstration runs will be piloted by the car's inspiration himself, Fernando Alonso.

The Aston Martin Valiant is a true masterpiece, a culmination of breathtaking design, cutting-edge technology, and an unyielding passion for driving. With its limited production run and ferocious performance, it is sure to become a coveted collector's item for driving enthusiasts worldwide.
