Aston Martin unveils Vantage in India at INR 3.99 Crore

Aston Martin, the renowned British luxury sports car manufacturer, has officially introduced its latest iteration of the Vantage model to the Indian market. Priced at INR 3.99 crore (ex-showroom), excluding personalization options, this new offering represents a significant milestone in the brand's 74-year history, promising an unparalleled fusion of performance, luxury, and heritage.

The Vantage nameplate, deeply rooted in Aston Martin's legacy, has evolved from being an enhanced engine option in 1950 to a standalone model that epitomises the brand's commitment to style, performance, and distinctive character. This latest incarnation arrives at a transformative juncture for Aston Martin, reinforcing its position in the high-end sports car segment.

At the heart of the new Vantage lies a substantially reworked 4.0-liter Twin-Turbo V8 engine, delivering an impressive 665 PS and 800 Nm of torque. This powerplant represents a significant leap forward, boasting a 30% increase in power and a 15% boost in torque compared to its predecessor. Mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, the Vantage achieves a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h) and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.4 seconds.

The vehicle's performance credentials are further enhanced by its sophisticated chassis and aerodynamics. Built on a bonded aluminium structure, the Vantage achieves an ideal 50:50 weight distribution. Additional underbody stiffening and adaptive dampers contribute to its precise handling characteristics. The car rides on 21-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tires, ensuring optimal grip and performance.

Visually, the new Vantage commands attention with its aggressive front grille, sculpted body lines, and dynamic silhouette. The design, influenced by Aston Martin's One-77 supercar, strikes a balance between raw power and sophisticated elegance. Marek Reichman, Aston Martin's Chief Creative Officer, emphasised this duality, stating, "One look and you know it packs a real punch, but there's an elegance of form and proportion that hints at the sophistication that underpins its raw power."

Inside the cabin, the Vantage showcases Aston Martin's dedication to luxury and craftsmanship. The interior features hand-stitched Bridge of Weir leather hides, complemented by state-of-the-art technology. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration takes centre stage, while a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system delivers an immersive audio experience. Safety and driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a comprehensive airbag system.

Amedeo Felisa, Aston Martin's Chief Executive Officer, underscored the significance of the Vantage in the brand's lineup: "Any car bearing the Vantage name has much to live up to, which is why this newest model makes an unwavering commitment to high-performance in its purest and most explicit form."
