All-new TVS Jupiter 110 launched at INR 73,700

TVS Motor Company has launched an all-new version of its popular Jupiter 110 scooter, starting at an ex-showroom price of INR 73,700. It receives a reimagined design, new features, an uprated chassis and performance enhancements with a mild-hybrid system. The platform has been borrowed from the Jupiter 125, meaning the scooter's Center of Gravity (CG) is now located much lower and forward compared to its predecessor. That, along with a tweaked suspension setup, the Jupiter 110 is said to offer improved stability and reduced load shifts for a better ride experience.

The new Jupiter 110 has been updated with a modern and refreshed styling. It features an edgier body design with Piano Black contrasting panels and all-LED lights. Full-width light bars at the front and rear, referred to as 'Infinity Lamps' by TVS, have been incorporated. These LED bars also include turn signal lamps, quite similar to the sequential indicators found in high-end cars. Like the Jupiter 125, the 5.1-litre fuel tank is now under the floorboard with a front apron opening for added convenience. Additionally, it retains the same 33-litre under-seat storage area, capable of accommodating two half-face helmets. These new design features are available in six different colour options: Matte Blue, Matte Copper, Matte Grey, Gloss Blue, Gloss White, and Gloss Red.

The TVS Jupiter 110 continues with the same 113.3cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine, but it gets a low-inertia crankshaft and lighter low-friction piston for better efficiency. While the output remains almost the same at around 8 horsepower and 9.2 Newton-metre, the updates are claimed to provide a superior torque curve throughout the rev range. The powertrain also gets a mild-hybrid assistance (iGO Assist) with an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and a high-performance battery. It boosts the torque output to 9.8 Newton-metre for short durations (precisely when required) to offer better acceleration as well as improved fuel efficiency. It also gets the Intelligent Start Stop technology (ISS) from the Jupiter 125 and TVS claims all these additions help to improve the fuel efficiency by around 10 per cent.

The higher variants of the TVS Jupiter 110 now come with a new Bluetooth-compatible digital display. This display includes turn-by-turn navigation, call and notification alerts, and voice assistance. You can access a variety of features through the TVS SmartXconnect app by pairing the digital display with your smartphone. The scooter is also equipped with a feature that causes the indicators to flash rapidly when you apply the brakes hard in emergencies, like some premium motorcycles. Furthermore, if you forget to turn off the indicators, they will automatically turn off after 100 meters or 20 seconds. The 2024 TVS Jupiter 110 is available in four variants, mainly differentiated by the front disc brake and SmartXconnect features.
