Asian markets were mixed as investors headed for the end of a tumultuous quarter that has seen sharp losses around the world, due to escalating trade tensions between the US and China.

Oil prices fell amid concerns about trade frictions between US and other major economies, although crude market conditions remain tight due to supply disruptions and generally high demand.
