A pornographic clip was reportedly played on one of the LED screens at Delhi Metro rail's Rajiv Chowk Metro station in the Indian capital, New Delhi. Now a video supposedly shot on April 9 inside the station showing the 'amateur clip' being screened has surfaced on social media and is going viral.

The 30-second video clip can be seen being played on one of the screens in a grid of 12 LED screens that are for commercial display. Some commuters can be seen stopping by in the video and filming the images on the LED screen on their mobilephones. Rajiv Chowk is one the busiest Metro stations in the system with two rail lines intersecting here.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) that runs the mass rapid transit system issued a statement saying that it was not aware of clip and the screen was under commissioning and testing.

"The DMRC is not aware about this clip. However, this LED screen was under commissioning and testing by a private contractor and same is still under commissioning. The work is still not completed. We will check all the details of the testing and commissioning process of the contractor to check whether any such clip was played on the LED screen at Rajiv Chowk station and take adequate safeguards/ action," DMRC spokesperson Anuj Dayal said in a statement.

Delhi Police and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), however, said they have not received any complaint in the matter so far.

The commercial display in the stations is maintained by the DMRC sales team.
