Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was given a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawanin New Delhi on Friday morning, where he was received by President Ram Nath Kovind, PM Modi and members of the Union Cabinet.
Trudeau, who is on a week-long visit to India arrived in New Delhi two days ago.
Trudeau’s India visit plunged into yet another controversy on Thursday over a dinner invitation to convicted Khalistan terrorist Jaspal Atwal by the Canadian High Commissioner to India.
Both the countries, however, have indicated that they are looking for a fresh start to India-Canada ties.
