Statista Consumer Insights conducted a survey to learn which country has the most tea drinkers
In Spain, the survey found that 39% people regularly consume tea. Of the 56 countries surveyed, Spain bagged the tenth spot.
China was found to be the ninth heaviest tea-drinking nation. About 45% people in China are regular tea consumers, as per the survey.
Of nearly 10,000 people surveyed in the United States, around half of them were found to be regular tea consumers.
More than half of all Germans are regular tea consumers. About 56% people were found to be regular tea consumers.
The country, which claims to be the modern-day tea disseminator, boasts of 59% of regular tea drinkers.
The Irish people love their tea as much as they love their coffee, if not more. Some 69% people in Ireland were found to be regular tea consumers.
In India, the 'chai country', about 72% people regularly consume tea.
About 80% Vietnamese people are regular tea consumers.
Pakistan and Kenya are tied for the second spot. About 83% people in Pakistan and Kenya regularly consume tea.
9 out of 10 people in Turkey were found to be regular tea consumers.
