John Keats (1795-1821)

Keats died at the very young age of 25 in 1821 after contracting tuberculosis.

Percy B. Shelley (1792-1822

Shelley drowned at the age of 29 in 1822 with Keats's poems in his jacket pocket which helped people identify the body. 

Emily Bronte (1818-1848)

Emily, along with being an accomplished novelist, was also a good poet who penned some short poems. Emily left the world at the age of 30 in 1848.

Sylvia Plath (1932-1963)

Sylvia Plath committed suicide at the age of 30. It was one of the harshest winters in England in 1963 when Plath turned on the oven in her house.

Thomas Chatterton (1752-1770)

Chatterton poisoned himself at the age of 17 in 1770 and didn’t live to see his 18th birthday. 

Keith Douglas (1920-1944)

One of the greatest English poets during World War II, Douglas was only 24 when he lost his life in the invasion of Normandy on 6 June 1944. 

Guillaume Apollinaire (1880-1918)

Apollinaire lost his life during the Spanish Flu pandemic in 1918. He was only 28 years old
