Daniels received a hush payment of $130,000 before the 2016 presidential election in which Donald Trump ran as the Republican nominee. The transaction was revealed in 2018 when Daniels asked the courts to nullify her nondisclosure agreement with Trump.
The hush payment was to silence her sexual relationship with Donald Trump in 2006, right after his wife Melania gave birth to Barron Trump. Donald Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen made the payoff and later pleaded guilty.
Stephanie Clifford, popularly known as Stormy Daniels, was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She turned to the adult film industry to earn a living as a young girl. She has also directed various adult movies.
